Nigel Youngman is on the approved list of investigators for the NHS Confederation and is a lay member of Employment Tribunals. His previous roles include Director of Marshall-James ER, Head of Employment Compliance for NHS Partners and Head of HR Consultancy for Eversheds LLP. Nigel is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development, an accredited mediator with the Centre for Dispute Resolution and an ACAS trained workplace mediator. He holds an MA in Employment Law / Industrial Relations from Leicester University and is Course Tutor for the CIPD’s Employee Relations and the Law Open Course. Is the author of Disciplinary Practices and Procedures, contributes to Financial Times Publications and has published articles on employment law issues in Personnel Today and Employers Law Magazine.
The ACAS Code of Practice on Discipline and Grievances at Work requires disciplinary matters to be dealt with in a fair and reasonable manner.
Employment Tribunals will expect serious complaints to be investigated thoroughly and objectively to establish the facts of the case.
